Octavia Butler. I’ve been wanting to read Butler and I think reading her through the lens of Black history
was a fantastic idea. The book was fascinating and enthralling. Our discussion touched on several
important topics in Black history and thought: the slave trade, feminism, sexuality, and gender identity
